
Editor's Note: As the author of this piece notes, the Electoral College exists to prevent a single region or state from overriding the rest of the country. Thus, in light of the fact that Trump won the national popular sans California, it appears that our wonderful democracy is working as planned. Shocked and appalled by the prospect of a Donald Trump presidency, some supporters of Hillary Clinton have turned to minimizing and even delegitimizing Trump’s election.
