Looking back, 2016 was a watershed moment for the mainstream media in America. It was the moment when the Fourth Estate all abandoned past journalistic standards, objectivity, and ultimately, the facts. What used to be considered reporting, was suddenly displaced by partisan narrative management. Things reached a fever pitch during the US 2020 Election, with so many egregious violations of press standards that it seems that the media has been damaged beyond all repair.
