The narrative of the ‘global pandemic’ took hold in early 2020, few were cannily aware that the groundwork for the mass-panic and subsequent authoritarian lockdowns – had already been laid over the previous decades. While governments in the west often opined about freedom and democracy, the reality was that they were steadily working to obliterate it. All it took was the right opportunity and a highly supine and apathetic populace.

Can freedom ever be restored without upending a system of oppression?
